Jangajji Pickles
Cucumber, chili pepper, red radish. onion, garlic pickled in soy sauce.
Usually preserved for a long period of time, Preserved foods like jangajji were developed to attain a certain level of vegetable consumption during the long, harsh winters.
Jangajji is a perfect company with white rice. In Korea we call as 밥도둑 which means “rice thief” But don`t get me wrong. It goes well even with pasta ;) It has well balanced sweetness and acidity top of it deep savory note from soy sauce.
